Ariana Grande claims top spot on The Official Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart!

Ariana Grande has bagged the number one spot on the chart this week

Ariana Grande has taken the top spot on The Official Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart this week, with new song 'thank u, next', knocking Little Mix and Nicki Minaj off of the top spot.

Sigrid's new song 'Sucker Punch' is the first new entry on the chart this week, sitting at number 38. The second new entry comes in right after that, at number 37 from 'Stronger' singer Kelly Clarkson, as she covers yet another track from movie The Greatest Showman with 'Never Enough'.

Queen takes that chart by storm this week as 'Who Wants To Live Forever' charts in at number 35 as a new entry.

Professor Green is back in the charts as he ends up with a brand new entry called 'Photographs'. His new track features 'Human' singer Rag'n'Bone Man, at number 34.

Those who have been following the world of music this week will know that Cheryl, formally known as X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, has been back behind the microphone singing her latest track 'Love Made Me Do It'. This new entry charts in higher up the chart as previous ones, at number 17.

Olly Murs and rapper Snoop Dogg are just below Cheryl's new track with 'Moves', at number 18.

Moving further up the chart and going into single figures, it appears that we'll have a brand new number one in the UK's Biggest Chart Show this week as Little Mix featuring Nicki Minaj with 'Woman Like Me' has been pushed down to number seven, meaning it just misses out spending a whole month at number one.

Instead, a brand new entry from the one and only Ariana Grande with 'thank u, next' - her latest tune which dropped a few weeks ago - takes the number one spot! This is fantastic.

'thank u, next' by Ariana Grande is a song all about her exes and previous relationships.

If you would like to know more about her latest tune, please read our post on Ari's track as we tell you all about it.

Can Ariana Grande make it two weeks at number one? You'll have to wait until next Sunday to find out as The Official Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart gets refreshed all over again.
