Apple Music is now supported on Amazon Alexa

Apple Music is now on Alexa

Amazon's smart Alexa devices now support Apple Music, meaning that if you subscribe to the popular Apple service, you can enjoy your favourite tunes on your voice-controlled Alexa device.

This works for both the iOS version and Android version of the Amazon Alexa app.

Apple Music is the latest music streaming service to be added to Alexa. The growing list of music services supported on Alexa, include: Spotify, Deezer, Tidal and Vevo, just to name a few.

Amazon's Alexa Apple Music update is only supported on the Echo range of devices that include: Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show and Echo Sport. It doesn't, at this stage, work with third-party devices that have Alexa built in and support it. Third party Alexa support devices are, for example, made by Bose and Sonos.

You'll be able to play song from the playlists you've created on Apple Music, play radio stations and playlists that Apple Music have created, you can also search the entire Apple Music library to find a song you want to listen to.

As with any service on Alexa, you have to link your account. Head over to the music and services tab and link and sign-in with your Apple ID.
